Question by E.W.: Beginning Playing Poker – Texas Hold’em?
About a week ago I began taking an interest in Texas Hold’em and poker in general. I signed up for a free account on pokerstars.net and have been learning all I can. I picked up two of Daniel Negreanu‘s books (Hold’em Wisdom For All Players part 1 and 2) but I still have a few problems.
While I understand the concept of the game, I am finding it difficult to gather a good base of knowledge. These books are great, but they seem to focus a lot more on building upon previous experience. I’m looking for something a LITTLE more basic, but not condescendingly so. I mean, I know the basic-basics. The thing I have a problem with is being able to tell when to bet, when to fold, and when to raise. It may sound basic, but every time I think I have it down, I get in on a few hands and get very confused and lose some chips.
Is there any website or literature I could read that would help me clear up these issues? I’ve taken a great interest in this and would really like to learn all I can. Thanks so much.

Answer by agro14 the more you play the better you get. u wont become extremely good just by reading about it. anywayz if u need to work on the basics bow about buying these poker books for absolute beginners. you can read their reviews on the website link.
